Website Designer - An additional role in our expanding Design & Development department. You'll be joining an established and award-winning HubSpot CMS D&D team at the leading HubSpot partner in the UK.
The core of your role will be to design websites. We do this for our inbound marketing retainer clients using the Growth Driven Design methodology. But we also design and build marketing websites for our project clients too.
This means working closely with our Developer and D&D Manager, as well as our Content team and the client's Inbound Strategist.
In an ideal world, you'll enjoy getting stuck into a little bit of building on HubSpot too - or this is at least something you're interested in learning to do (learning new stuff is a big thing here).
Whilst most of your time will be spent designing websites, there may be times where you're helping the other Designer with marketing assets too (emails, eBooks, video storyboards, social media graphics).
First and foremost, you need to love design. But also you need to be passionate about websites that you design. It's going to be how you spend the vast majority of your time - talking about, thinking about and actually designing websites.
We're looking for somebody who's keen to learn a bit of development too and is willing to be coached on this by our experienced dev guys.
In terms of experience, this is a mid-weight role. As a minimum, you'll have a solid couple of years in the game under your belt. You might feel like you've got a little bit of polishing to do, but that's why you're looking to move - you can't find it in your current position, you're not being pushed to develop.
You definitely understand the commercial importance of a website project running smoothly (delighting the client and hitting deadlines, whilst designing something that works which can be built in the time allowed too).

An agency can't market on cake alone, it needs plenty of coffee too. Our free barista-quality machine does everything from espressos and Americanos to mochas and cappucinos. But if you can taste difference between a cafe au lait and white coffee, you're more of a coffee snob than some of our current lot.
The only way to stay at the forefront of our industry is to be continuously learning, so that’s why training time is scheduled into every team member’s week and every team member has their own personal training plan.
We follow the EOS business plan and have rolled out the weekly Level 10 meeting structure to the individual teams within Digital 22. These are owned and driven by the team, not the management, and is your chance to talk about and improve your experience at work.
Every week, we ask the team what could be done to make their working experience better. This feedback is then discussed and actioned by our leadership team in their meeting each Monday.
Annual feedback is also collected and this helps shape the strategic direction of the company for the coming year.
